Red Raiders Sign First Recruit For 2017-18

Britton Yoder (Owasso, Okla.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern beginning in the fall of 2017.

Yoder, the son of Josh and Staci, is a 6-3 pitcher/outfielder from Claremore High School in Oklahoma. Yoder has earned three varsity letters in his career. Yoder was named to the All-Metro honorable mention team as a junior by the Tulsa World newspaper, was an All-District 5A-4 outfielder, and was also named to the Oklahoma All-State Underclassmen team as a sophomore. Yoder won the Zebra Award for Community as a junior. Yoder also won the Team Hustle award as a sophomore.

Yoder, a potential valedictorian in his class, plans to major in Psychology/Biblical Studies while at Northwestern.

Baseball wise he is a tremendous pitcher with very good velocity and is a potential high level two-way player for us. He has the size and athletic ability to be an impact player for many years both on the mound and in the outfield."
