Megan Shulstad (Alexandria, Minn.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her cross country and track and field careers at Northwestern College this fall.
Shulstad earned five letters running for the Alexandria Area High School cross country and track and field teams. Shulstad helped lead her team to a ninth place finish at the state cross country meet and has a personal best 5K time of 20:33. In track, Shulstad was part of a team that won the state title in 2016 and earned all-conference honors. She has personal bests of 5:46 in the 1600m and 12:35 in the 3200m. Shulstad is a four-time Gold Scholar and plans to study exercise science at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Tim and Julie.
"We are thrilled to have Megan join both our cross country and track and field teams," said Northwestern head coach Scott Bahrke. "She is a great distance runner who will be able to continue her success at the college level."
