The 18th annual Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Preseason Football Media Day will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2017, in South Sioux City, Nebraska, at the Marina Inn Conference Center.

Starting at 1:00 pm the GPAC football coaches will address the media with their 2017 outlook, followed by a question and answer period for each coach.  The event will conclude with the release of the 2017 GPAC football preseason coaches' and media polls. Coaches will also be available for individual interviews starting at 12:45pm, during the break (around 2pm), and following the press conference. Lunch for the media will be served at Noon. All events will be held in the Cardinal Room.

Coach Matt McCarty, in his second year as head of the Red Raider football program, will speak sixth among the nine conference coaches. McCarty guided the Red Raiders to a 3-5 league record, 3-7 overall in 2016.
