Kate Wynja (Sioux Falls, S.D.) has signed a letter of intent to continue her golf career at Northwestern College in the fall of 2018.

Wynja has played four years for the Sioux Falls Christian golf team heading into her final season this spring. Wynja won the 2017 state individual championship last spring, earning her fourth consecutive top 10 finish at the state tournament. She helped lead her team to a ninth place finish at state as a junior and has a scoring average of 78. Wynja is a member of the National Honor Society and plans to major in special education at Northwestern. She is the daughter of Carl and Lori.

"I am very excited to have Kate as a Red Raider next year," commented head Northwestern coach Catherin Van Der Weide. "She has a great all-around game and will be a strong addition to our team. We are excited to see what she can accomplish here at Northwestern."
