All-Time...Northwestern leads the all-time series against Doane, 31-26, dating back to the 1986-87 season. The Red Raiders have lost three of the last four, however, including both games played last year. They are 6-4 over the last 10 match-ups.

The Tigers lost their GPAC opener to Briar Cliff (69-56) last time out in a match-up played Wednesday night in Sioux City, Iowa. With the game tied at 29 at intermission, Briar Cliff used a big third quarter, outscoring the Tigers 21-11, to pull ahead for good.
Doane is 3-2 overall, earning wins over St. Francis (Ill.), Viterbo and Ottawa while losing to William Penn in a non-conference match-up.
Tracee Fairbanks is in her 19th season as the head of the Tigers' program, taking over in 1999. She returns one starter and seven players from a 2016-17 team that finished sixth in the GPAC with a 9-11 record, 16-16 overall.
