Like Northwestern, Midland is in the thick of a conference regular season title chase, owning a 10-2 league record and just 1.5 matches out with four to play. They are alone in fourth place, trailing Hastings, Northwestern and Dordt, all teams that they will play over the next week. Midland is 17-5 overall and have a three match win streak coming into the weekend, defeating College of Saint Mary, Dakota Wesleyan and Doane.
