Null Wins By Fall; Seals Red Raiders Win Over No.9 Midland

Randy Null pinned James Jones at the 6:14 mark in the final match (285) to give Northwestern a 27-23 upset win over No.9 Midland at the NAIA Duals held in Fort Wayne, Ind. The win give the Red Raiders a 1-1 record at the Duals and 5-2 overall. 

Northwestern will now face No.7 Southern Oregon at 4pm CST.

Trailing 23-21 heading into the final match at 285, Null picked up a huge win and pushed the Red Raiders on top. Null improved his season record to 13-1. 

Austin Boles earned his second win at the National Duals, opening with a 11-0 major decision over Hakim Sims at 125. Elijah Dahl picked up six points with a win at 157 on a DQ to Scottie Bonds. Andras Lukacs-Farkas won by fall at 174, pinning David Moran at 3:39. Farkas improves to 7-1 on the year. Nick Null also picked up a win at 197, defeating Adam Ball by Technical Fall (23-8).
