Raiders Shutout Dakota Wesleyan In Conference Play

Northwestern improves to 2-0 in conference play 

Northwestern College played the Dakota Wesleyan University Wednesday Evening. The Raiders played a complete game with great offensive attack and defensive pressure to defeat the Tigers 1-0 and improve to 6-4 (2-0) on the season.  With the loss the Tigers fall to 0-9 (0-2). 

The Raiders offense was on attack all evening as they put up 30 shots to Dakota Wesleyan's one shot.

Raiders only were able to find the back of the net once when Paige Drenth buried a shot off a pass from Jennifer Inge.

Both teams had great defensive efforts and kept the score at 1-0.

For Dakota Wesleyan Kira Miller recorded a game high 14 saves on the match allowing just the one goal.

The Raiders Madison Fordyce gets credit for the shutout. 

Northwestern is 2-0 in conference play for the first time since the 2007 season in which they rolled to a start 7-0 in conference play.
