After a 6-1 start to the season, the Comets have lost four straight games to come into the weekend with a 6-5 overall record. Since a 92-85 win over Morris, Mayville State has lost to Valley City State, Dickinson State, Presentation and Jamestown, all in North Star Conference play.Â
De Witt, in his fifth year on the Comet's bench after serving as an ass't at St. Cloud State, returns six players from a 2015-16 team that finished sixth in the NSAA with a 6-8 record, 17-12 overall. They lost to Dakota State in the conference semifinals and graduated their top eight scorers from last year.
