Box Score Haley Birks scored a career-high 28 points in leading Northwestern College to an 81-65 road win over College of Saint Mary in a conference match-up played in today in Omaha, Neb.
The Red Raiders won their third straight game and improved to 3-3 in GPAC play, 9-3 overall, while CSM dropped to 0-5 in league play, 2-7 overall.
Birks shot 9-for-13 from the field and converted all nine of her free throw attempts en route to a new career high. She also pulled down six rebounds and had two steals. Darbi Gustafson recorded her third straight double-double with 21 points and 13 rebounds, shooting 7-of-13 from the field. Chanda Zomermaand scored 15 points coming off the Red Raiders bench, draining a trio of three-pointers.
