Box Score A cold shooting night doomed Northwestern in its 91-44 loss at No. 7 Concordia in a GPAC match-up played this afternoon in Seward, Neb. The Red Raiders drop their second straight game and fall to 3-5 in conference play, 9-5 overall. Concordia earned its 13th consecutive win and improved to 8-0 in GPAC play, 13-1 overall.Â
Darbi Gustafson led Northwestern with 14 points and eight rebounds, going 6-for-14 from the field. Renee Maneman added 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.
How It Happened...
A three-point play by Haley Birks tied the game at 13 but Concordia closed out the first quarter with a 13-1 to take a 26-14 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
Concordia's run continued at the beginning of the second quarter, outscoring Northwestern 13-2 for a 39-16 lead. Concordia led 52-25 by halftime.
Northwestern outscored Concordia 14-12 in the third and trailed 64-39; Concordia clinched it in the fourth, outscoring the Red Raiders 27-5.
