The Red Raiders fall to an even 4-4 in the GPAC, 12-13 overall. Morningside moves to 5-4 in conference play and 14-5 overall.
Jessica Jensen put down nine of her team-high 15 kills in a 25-21 first set win that had Northwestern hit .306 compared to .282 by the host Mustangs. Lauryn Hilger added 14 kills and 13 digs, recording her seventh double-double. Caley Vink matched her career-high with eight kills and A.J. Horstman put down seven.
Northwestern held a 9-2 advantage in ace serves, four by junior Casey Perez. Jessa Doom lofted up 40 assists and went a perfect 15-for-15 from the service line. Jillian Estes led the backrow with 19 digs, her 20th match with 10+ digs on the season.
The Red Raiders hit .166 compared to Morningside's .223 kill efficiency. Jenn Buyert led the Mustangs' attack with 19 kills and Brittni Olson totaled 11 kills and 3.5 blocks.
