A.J. Horstman and Lauryn Hilger both hit for double figures in leading Northwestern College to a 3-0 (25-16, 25-14, 25-19) win over Mount Marty in a conference match-up played tonight at the Bultman Center.
The Red Raiders have won two straight and improved to 8-5 in the GPAC, 16-15 overall while Mount Marty drops to 0-13, 7-19.
Coming off a career-best 30-kill effort in the win at DWU last week, Horstman put down a match-high 16 kills and hit over .400 to lead the Red Raider offense. Hilger added 10 kills in 18 attacks, hitting .444 for the match. Jessa Doom directed the Northwestern offense to a .459 hitting percentage, lofting up 36 assists to go with a career-best seven kills.
Mount Marty hit .176 for the match and was led by Brooke Bennett with nine kills in 18 attempts.
