Raiders Defeat Tigers in Double Overtime

Northwestern College played Doane University Saturday afternoon. The Raiders won in double overtime to defeat the Tigers 1-0 and improve to 10-6 (6-2) on the season. 

The Raiders offense was on attack all evening as they put up 25 shots to the Tigers eight shots.

Raiders were only able to find the back of the net once in the 108th minute when Tatiana Garcia buried a shot off a through ball from Lauren Ostdiek-Wille.

Both teams had great defensive efforts and kept the score at 1-0.

For Doane Samantha Prince recorded a game high 14 saves on the match allowing just the one goal.

The Raiders Naomi Schimmel gets credit for the shutout and recorded three saves. 

Northwestern is 6-2 in conference play and currently third in the standings half-game behind Midland University.
