Northwestern College played Briar Cliff University Wednesday evening. The Raiders picked up a 4-1 win. With the win Northwestern improve to 7-8 (4-2) on the season. Â With the loss the Chargers fall to 8-7 (2-5).Â
Northwestern delivered with a score seven minutes into the match when, Tyler Limmer scored off a penalty kick.
In the 31st minute Anselmo Kim found the back of the net with a great strike to put the Raiders up 2-0.
Hartrick Tarr got into the mix when he made it a 3-0 game before half with his fourth goal on the year.
In the second half Briar Cliff got on the board with a goal from Luke Manganaro, but that is all they would get.
Limmer added his second goal of the evening in the 88th minute his tenth goal of the year.  Goal was assisted by Wesley Lockwood his fourth assist on the year.
This is Limmer's fourth multi-goal game of the year. Raiders are now 5-1 in games where Limmer scores.
Briar Cliff never was able to find a rhythm on offense due to another great defensive effort by Raiders defensive group Connor Sams, Nikolas Agundez, Dylan Hengst, and Justin Baird.
Matt Scott received the win in goal.
Northwestern is 7-1 when scoring two or more goals in a match, 0-7 when scoring less than two.
Northwestern is 4-2 in conference play and tied with Concordia for third overall in the standings.
