Raiders improve to 5-0 in conference play and have won seven straight.
Northwestern College played Dordt College Wednesday afternoon. The Raiders picked up a 3-1 decision. With the win Northwestern improve to 9-4 (5-0) on the season. Â With the loss the Defenders fall to 6-6-1 (2-3).Â
Nortwestern scored early into the match when Jahdai Dunk sent a cross to Madison Bertman who delivered with a score two minutes into the match.
At the half it was only a 1-0 score.
Dordt got the equalizer in the 59th minute with a goal from Kenzie Bousema. This goal was the first goal that Northwestern has allowed in conference play.
Only one minute later in the 60th minute Tatiana Garcia received a pass from Jennifer Inge and put the Raiders back on top with a score of 2-1.
Inge and Garcia decided they were not done with scoring as Garcia buried another ball into the back of the net only 40 seconds later. Â
Madison Fordyce recorded five saves on the game to help the Raiders defeat the defenders 3-1.
Northwestern is 5-0 in conference play and currently tied for 1st overall in the GPAC with No. 10 Hastings College.
