Goebel joined the Northwestern athletics department in July 2021 as the department's administrative assistant, joining Northwestern after working at Village Northwest Unlimited.
"It's an extreme blessing to have faith openly incorporated into my everyday experience. Northwestern's mission is clearly stated and in line with my own beliefs," said Goebel. "Additionally, I have always enjoyed athletics and look forward to watching the student-athletes continue to grow in their faith, academic, and athletic journeys."
Her career has included business roles of different capacities including a managerial role at Staples Promotional Products and inventory management at Orange City Vet Clinic/Pipestone Vet Services, both in Orange City. Recently, a job in physical therapy at Village Northwest Unlimited in Sheldon provided an opportunity to work with disabled adults, which fulfilled a long-time calling.
Her favorite Bible verse is Romans 8:38-39, "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers , nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord" (ESV).
Goebel resides Orange City, Iowa with her husband (Dan), and three daughters - Trinity, Cadence, and Aurora.
