Bradley Laackmann was hired as Northwestern's Director of Athletic Communications in July 2024 after two years as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.

In his current role, Laackmann has provided on-site coverage in NAIA tournament events for men's basketball, football, men's soccer, softball and volleyball. Additionally, he facilitated the start of the Raiders Coaches Show and Northwestern's switch to Hudl TV for streaming solutions.

After his first year as Director of Athletic Communications, Laackmann was named the 2024-25 GPAC SID of the Year, as he managed Northwestern Athletics website that was consistently in the top five of pageviews nationally, athletic streams that averaged over 1,000 viewers per event, and implemented new technologies such as FanWord, an AI-powered writing tool.

Under Laackmann's leadership, Northwestern's athletic communications team saw significant growth over their social presence in his first year, including an almost 350% increase in reach through Instagram. The department also successfully nominated four CSC All-Americans, 39 GPAC Athletes of the Week, and hosted the Opening Round of the NAIA Softball Tournament.

In addition to his work at the NAIA level, Laackmann has been active at multiple NCAA Championships, working on the event staff at the 2018, 2019, and 2021 Men's College World Series and serving as a volunteer at the 2019 Men's Final Four.

Laackmann is a 2020 graduate of Northwestern College with a degree in sport management. While at Northwestern, he served as student-manager for Coach Kris Korver and the men's basketball program. His primary duties for the Red Raider men's basketball program included compiling of game film and managing the team's social media account. During his time as a graduate assistant at Dordt, he earned his master's degree in sport leadership from Dordt Unviersity in August 2022.

A native of Doon, Iowa, Laackmann currently resides in Orange City with his wife, Emelie and daughter, Lila. He is a member of College Sports Communicators (CSC).
