Blake Wieking

    Assistant Men's Soccer

Blake Wieking will begin his 3rd season as an assistant coach for the men's program. Wieking is no stranger to Northwestern, he was a four time All-GPAC performer and a two-time All-American honorable mention during his collegiate career for the Red Raiders. Wieking scored 19 goals and made 12 assists (tied for fourth all time) during his career. Blake was a member 2004 GPAC Championship team as well the 2007 national qualifying squad.
 
“I am honored and thankful to be able to continue working with such a talented and focused group of young men. The men’s soccer program is healthy and well-grounded, thanks to Coach Swier. I look forward to continue to develop the skills of the team in our successful Christ-centered program.”
 
Wieking also served as the women's head coach for four seasons from 2009-12. In 2012, Northwestern finished fourth in the GPAC and secured the first home GPAC tournament game in program history. He currently is teaching 7th grade social studies in the MOC-Floyd Valley School District, while also coaching high school girls soccer in the spring.
 
Blake and his wife, Kari, along with their two boys, Owen and Liam, live in Orange City.
