Northwestern College Athletics

Van Schepen begins his eighth season as an assistant coach within the Red Raider baseball program. His primary duties are to serve as the head coach of the junior varsity squad.

    "I am honored to be a part of a program that develops quality young men on and off the field. I am looking forward to both learning from the other coaches in the program as well as have the opportunity to help my players develop their God-given gifts and talents through the game of baseball. I want my players to understand the difference between success and winning. Take pride in doing the little things right, make up for bad plays, and don’t make excuses. Take care of the little things and winning will take care of itself."

Family - wife: Lindsey; children - Lilia, Caden and Callie

Playing Career: 
    2005-07 - member of the Red Raiders' varsity program
    member of the 2007 NAIA Region III Championship team

Coaching Career:
    2014 - present: Assistant / JV Head Coach, Northwestern College
    2009 - 2013: Assistant Coach, Timothy Christian High School

Van Schepen is currently a middle school teacher at Orange City Christian School.
