"I am really excited to have Jared back on campus," said head coach Brian Wede. "Jared was the type of player that had an infectious personality who got the most of out of his ability. He was very mentally strong and willing to be used in whatever role was best for the team. Ever since he left the program I have been thinking of ways to get him back on campus because I think he can be a very good asset for our program moving forward."

"Adding Jared to the staff also allows me to work with our position players/hitters on a more regular basis, something I am very excited for," said Wede. "In the 10 years I've been a head coach, we carry a 0.309 team batting average and have averaged 6.19 runs per game in 500+ games. I have no doubt we will continue that offensive production."
