Win: Danny Mosarah
Loss: Micah De Haan (2-4)
Save: Mitchell Hamrock

How It Happened
Northwestern dropped game one to Mount Marty with a final score of 15-9 on Friday. Despite the Raiders posting a five-run fourth inning, MMU's 10-run third inning proved decisive.

The Red Raiders took an early lead in the first inning as Nikolai Wede walked and advanced to third on a double play. Ranier Castillo drove him in with a double to right center, putting the team up 1-0 after one inning.

In the second inning, the Lancers tied the game when Conor Michaud scored on an RBI single by Ethan Synovec. The Raiders responded with a run of their own as Bryce Click walked and later scored on Grant Guidry's sacrifice fly, making it 2-1 in favor of the Red Raiders after two innings.

MMU surged ahead in the third inning, scoring ten runs. The inning was highlighted by Daniel Vonnegut's RBI single and a series of walks and errors. The Raiders ended the frame trailing 11-2.

The Raiders attempted a comeback in the fourth inning. After the Lancers added three more runs, Devin Dirkx hit a grand slam, driving in four runs and bringing the score to 14-7 by the end of the inning.

Neither team scored in the fifth, and the Lancers added one run in the sixth with a solo home run from Ethan Synovec.

In the seventh inning, the Raiders attempted to narrow the gap. Brody Ayers singled, driving in Jack Craig, followed by Grant Guidry's RBI single, which brought TJ Silliman home. However, the inning ended with just two more on the scoreboard, securing Mount Marty's victory.
