Kalvelage Earns Second Career National Athlete of the Week Accolade

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northwestern senior Braden Kalvelage has been named the NAIA Field Athlete of the Week. It is Kalvelage's first national honor this season and the second of his career.

Kalvelage was part of two record-breaking performances last weekend, winning the long jump at the Concordia Classic with a school-record mark of 7.62m. He also opened the 4x400m relay on a team that broke the school record at 3:20.00.

Kalvelage's long jump mark is currently third in the NAIA.

Northwestern will compete again this weekend, splitting the team between the Wayne State Open and Husker Invitational.
