ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern College athletics has named men's wrestling student-athlete
Noah Parmelee and women's track and field student-athlete
Tierney Huss as the Raider Athletes of the Week, presented by American State Bank, for their performances during the week of February 23rd.
MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Noah Parmelee, Men's Wrestling
- Parmelee (Sr., Sioux City, Iowa) was the lone Raider on the podium on Saturday as the GPAC Champion at 141 lbs.
- The senior cemented a comeback win with a takedown in the final 30 seconds to become Northwestern's first GPAC Champion since 2022.
- Parmelee earned his redemption after he finished third at the tournament last season.
FEMALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Tierney Huss, Women's Track & Field
- Huss (So., Orange City, Iowa) earned herself two all-conference selections with top-five finishes in the 60m and 200m dashes.
- The sophomore finished fourth in the 60m with a time of 7.78 seconds and fourth in the 200m with a time of 25.11 seconds.
- Huss set a personal best in the 60m and set a NAIA provisional mark in the 200m.
