How It Happened
The Red Raider baseball team secured a decisive 7-1 victory over Graceland on Saturday at Chase Stadium. The Raiders capitalized on the Yellowjackets' three errors and recorded seven hits, including two doubles, to solidify the win.

The scoring began in the third inning when Northwestern capitalized on an error, allowing Bryce Click to score the first run, followed by Grant Rychnovsky's RBI single bringing in Click. Grant Guidry then singled to right field, scoring Rychnovsky and extending the lead to 2-0.

In the fourth inning, the Raiders added three more runs. Ranier Castillo walked, and Nikolai Wede was hit by a pitch, setting the stage for Brody Ayers, who reached first on an error, allowing Castillo to score. Then, Click's single to center field drove in Ayers and Wede, further solidifying the lead at 5-1.

The fifth inning saw the Northwestern advantage extend to 7-1 as Guidry led off with a double and later scored on a strikeout that allowed Castillo to advance. Isaac Short followed with an RBI single, bringing Castillo home for the inning's second run.

The Raiders' defense held strong, preventing the Yellowjackets from scoring in the final innings. Chase Dixson rounded out a strong performance on the mound after Grant Kelderman's start, maintaining the advantage and concluding the game with a 7-1 victory.

The game's decisive moments started in the third inning when the Bobcats broke the scoreless tie. A single and stolen base set up the first run of the game, as an RBI double gave College of the Ozarks a 1-0 advantage.

In the sixth inning, the Bobcats extended their lead. With the bases loaded, a sacrifice fly brought in another, and a two-RBI single later in the inning increased Ozarks' advantage to 4-0, a score that would hold for the remainder of the contest.
