Kalvelage Hits Auto Mark, Named GPAC Field Athlete of the Week

SIOUX CITY, Iowa – Northwestern senior Braden Kalvelage has been named the GPAC Field Athlete of the Week, presented by Hauff-MidAmerica Sports.

"Braden put in the work this fall, and it shows as he hit another auto mark on Saturday," head coach Scott Bahrke stated. "He has been a great leader for our jumps squad as well. We are proud of him!"

Last weekend, Kalvelage won the long jump with an "A" standard mark of 7.33m, which is 8th in the NAIA. On the track, he broke the school record in the 200m, placing first with a time of 21.89 at Saturday's Dordt Indoor Open. His 200m time is ninth in the country.

The Raiders will next compete this weekend at the Mount Marty Invitational.
