How It Happened
Northwestern started the game strong, putting five runs on the board in the first inning. The initial run advanced on a wild pitch and key plays set the stage for
Tatum Schmalbeck and
Jori Hajek to drive in runs with consecutive singles.
Berkley Johannsen added two more runs with a double to center field, closing the inning with a 5-0 lead.
In the second inning, the Raiders extended their advantage, adding two more runs, pushing the score to 7-0. The Raiders continued to maintain pressure in the third inning.
Cassidy Gors capitalized with a double to left field, bringing their lead to 8-0. Northwestern added two more runs in the fourth as two runners scored on a bunt single by
