Van Sickle Captures GPAC Title as Raiders Compete at Conference Meet

MITCHELL, S.D. – Carson Van Sickle won the 800m GPAC title in his freshman season as Northwestern put nine individual marks and one relay in all-conference consideration.

Van Sickle's 800m time of 1:54.87 was good for the conference title and his second-best mark of the season. Braden Kalvelage also hit a season- and indoor-best, falling just one-hundredth of a meter shy of a first-place finish. Additionally, Kalvelage placed second in the 60m but had a PR mark of 6.87 in the prelims. Also in second place was the 4x400m relay team of Aziah Ashley, Vance Haygena-Johnson, Carson Van Sickle, and Grant Palmer, who posted a time of 3:23.00.
