(Orange City, IA) - Northwestern hosted Morningside in the Bultman Center for senior night to kick off a weekend of wrestling where a dual win slips out of their grasp by four points in a 22-18 defeat.

Noah Parmelee kicked off the dual at 141 lbs with a nail biting decision win 7-6 to open up the scoring 3-0 for the Raiders. Unfortunately it would be Morningside who picks up steam as the Mustangs would win five straight matches following the opening loss. Among those five wins were two tech falls leading to a 19 point run. Kaleb Grove would take a forfeit to give the Raiders a pause in the slide but Morningside would bounce right back with a decision win. Northwestern wouldn't go out without a fight as Taye Jordan and Johnny Burnette rattled off two wins to round out the dual. 

Dual Notes

• All but three matches were decided by four points or less
• Johnny Burnette picked up the lone bonus point win by fall
• The Raiders celebrated six seniors including Case Cauthron, Ky Bandy, Daniel Hinds, Kaleb Lind, Lincoln Siebert, and Abby Dahl
