Track and Field, Cross Country Bring in Two to Incoming Class

ORANGE CITY, Iowa  – Northwestern College has announced the signings of two recruits for the 2024-25 academic year.

Men's Cross Country/Track and Field
George Livingston (Orange City, Iowa) has committed to Northwestern and will run with the Raider cross country and track teams.

A four-year athlete at Maquoketa Valley High School, Livingston has career marks of 17:14 in the 5K, 10:33 in the 3200m, and is part of multiple relay teams. Livingston has also been a participant at the State Cross Country and State Track and Field meets, while earning multiple academic honors.

"I chose Northwestern because I not only wanted a quality education, but also a pathway to a quality career and further growth as a Christian," Livingston commented.

Livingston is the son of Luke and Jennifer.

Gage Plagge (Hampton, Iowa) has announced his intention to attend Northwestern College and join the Red Raider men's track and field program.

Competing in the long jump, 200m, 400m, and relays at Hampton-Dumont, Plagge was a four-year athlete in high school. Individually, He has career bests of 21'08 in the long jump, 23.84 in the 200m, and 53.84 in the 400m.

"I chose Northwestern College because I liked the small-town college atmosphere and the competitiveness of the track and field program," Plagge said. "I also liked the opportunities and materials they give you to excel on and off campus."

Plagge is the son of Anne and John Plagge.
