Men’s Tennis Takes Down Central in Close Contest

PELLA, Iowa – Traveling from one Dutch-themed town to another, the Red Raider men's tennis team picked up a 5-4 win over NCAA DIII Central (Iowa).

The Raiders picked up one win in doubles, earning a point by NCAA rules with the 8-5 win in the No. 2 slot for Mateo Flores and Leandro Costa.

Singles play was in favor of Northwestern, who won four of the six bouts, with David Bomgaars, Flores, Costa, and Collin Harmelink emerging victorious.

Up Next: Northwestern has an extended break before facing St. Olaf (Minn.) and Wartburg (Iowa) in the non-conference finale. Matches will be on Saturday, March 16 in Waverly, Iowa.
