Raider Women Prep for GPAC Championships

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The 2024 GPAC Cross Country Championships are set for Saturday, November 9 at Mahoney State Park in Ashland, Nebraska. The Red Raider women will begin their quest for a conference title at 10:45 a.m.

Northwestern has prepared itself well for a competitive GPAC field, most recently taking second at the Mount Marty Invite. The Raiders also opened the year at the Augustana Twilight and Roy Griak Invitational, facing opponents from across the NAIA and NCAA.

Emma Haley has been the Raiders' top runner this season, setting PRs in the 5K (18:47.9) and 6K (23:00.7). She has also placed in the top-15 in her last three appearances. Northwestern is set to send 10 athletes to the meet. Participating runners and their top 6K times this season are listed below.

Spectators will need to purchase a park pass in advance from Nebraska Game and Parks Commission for entrance to Mahoney State Park. Passes are $7 for in-state visitors and $14 for those coming from out-of-state.

Northwestern finished seventh at last season's GPAC Championships, with Emily (Haverdink) DeGroot leading with a 20^th-place finish.
