Quick Home Opener Win for Raider Wrestling

Orange City, IA - Northwestern hosted their first dual of the season in the Bultman Center with Minnesota West CC and took home a quick dual win 49-5.

In their first home dual of the season, the Raiders had themselves a good crowd turnout as they took on the Bluejays. Starting at 141 pounds with Johnny Burnette, Northwestern would pick up four straight bonus points wins including three falls and a tech fall from Kane Butrick to take an early 23-0 lead. Minnesota West would take the 174 pound bout with a tech fall to make it 23-5.

The Raiders bounce back to round out the back end of the weight classes as they take three straight wins at 184, 197, and 285 pounds. Thomas Vance locked up a fall at 174 pounds to start that winning streak. Northwestern would round out the dual with two forfeits with their light weights with Taye Jordan and Logan Schroeder at 125 and 133 pounds.
