Wrestling Captures Road Win at Buena Vista

STORM LAKE, Iowa - Northwestern competed against Buena Vista in Storm Lake on Wednesday evening and took home a 24-18 dual victory.

Buena Vista jumped out to an early lead in the dual, but Noah Parmelee at 141 pounds won by tech fall to grab the first points for the Raiders. Devin Padilla and Cade Braun would each win 9-3 by decision at 149 and 157 pounds to put Northwestern ahead.

Thomas Vance would kick off another Raider winning streak, winning by major decision at 184 pounds. At 197 pounds, Kaleb Grove would follow suit, winning by fall to add to the lead, and Logan Ash would win by decision at 285 pounds to round out the match.

GAME NOTES:

The Raiders put together two separate winning streaks.
Northwestern moves to 2-0 on the young season.
Sophomore Devin Padilla notched his second match win of the season.
