Four From Men's Track and Field Named NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the 2022-23 Daktronics NAIA Men's Track and Field Scholar-Athletes, with four Red Raider student-athletes receiving the honor.

To be recognized as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete is nominated by the institution's head coach or sports information director with the criteria of maintaining a minimum grade point average of 3.5, appearing on the eligibility ticket of the sport, and attending the institution for at least one full year.

Northwestern men's track and field student-athletes Braden Jahn (Sr., Sioux Center, Iowa), Harland Groves (So., Faith, S.D.), Trey Engelmann (So., Storm Lake, Iowa), and William Minnick (Sr., Orange City, Iowa) were named NAIA Scholar-Athletes for their academic achievements.

Jahn and Minnick both receive their third-career honor, while Groves is now a two-time honoree. It is Englemann's first Scholar-Athlete award for track and field.

805 student-athletes from across the NAIA were recognized as Scholar-Athletes. Concordia (Neb.) led all schools with 23 honorees.
