Men's Soccer to Host GPAC Quarterfinal Rematch Against Midland

Raiders and Warriors drew 1-1 in the regular season

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Northwestern (12-4-2, 8-1-2 GPAC) earned the No. 2-seed in a competitive top half of the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), which will match the Raiders up with No. 7-seeded Midland (4-8-5, 2-4-5 GPAC) in the conference tournament quarterfinals. The matchup will be held at the NWC Soccer Complex on the campus of Northwestern College on Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m.

The meeting marks the second-straight season that Northwestern and Midland have faced each other in the GPAC Quarterfinals, as Midland took a 1-0 decision in 2022.

REGULAR SEASON MEETING
A competitive match led to a 1-1 draw on October 7 in Fremont, Nebraska, as Northwestern's three-match winning streak came to an end. Both goals were scored on penalty kicks, as Tim Kaltenberger (Sr., Cologne, Germany) scored his seventh goal of the season to knot the score at 1-1.

The two teams have been about as close as opponents can be, as the last four meetings have seen the Raiders and Warriors match each other in scoring 3-3.
