Northwestern to Host Dakota Wesleyan in Home Opener

The Red Raiders will celebrate the senior class

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – The No. 3-ranked Northwestern College football team (0-1, 0-1 GPAC) returns to Orange City for the first time in 2022 to play host to the Tigers of Dakota Wesleyan University (0-2, 0-1 GPAC) in the home-opener. The Raiders will honor the senior class, while welcoming back members of the 1967 to 1973 football teams.

Northwestern welcomes back members of legendary head coach Larry Korver's first football teams from 1967 to the program's first national championship team of 1973 on Saturday. Visit the link above for more on the special event.
 
SERIES HISTORY
Northwestern holds an 18-4 (.818) advantage over Dakota Wesleyan in the all-time series, having won five-straight in the series. McCarty holds a 5-1 record against the Tigers in his time leading the program, his only loss being his first season in 2016. In Orange City, NWC has been stout, winning 10 of the 12 games played on Korver Field. Last season was the largest win in the series – for either side – as NWC won 50-0.
 
GAME DAY INFORMATION
  • The stadium opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff at 11:30 a.m. Saturday morning.
  • No early entrance will be allowed prior to 11:30 a.m., portable bathrooms will be available outside the stadium.
