Raider Football Featured on ESPN's 'Get Up'

Jawan Grant’s third quarter pancake was featured on the show

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – As if everything surrounding the 34-10 win over Concordia (Neb.) last Saturday hasn't been enough, how about some love to the Red Raiders offensive line? Offensive lineman Jawan Grant (Kansas City, Mo.) and his epic block has received national attention, being featured on ESPN's 'Get Up' this morning.
 
The weekday show aired the clip just before 8:00 a.m. (CT) which received huge reactions from the show's hosts.
 
"It should be against the law. Very rarely in my life have I send a man go from (standing) to his back," noted ESPN's Jeff Saturday. "That right there is a thing of beauty! Three cakes for a knockout blow, baby!

"Two and three today may have been my favorite ones we have ever had," said ESPN's Mike Greenberg.  
"It's great to see recognition for Jawan," said head football coach Matt McCarty. "Our offensive line has done an outstanding job paving the way for our rushing attack."
 
The airtime came just in time for Northwestern College's Homecoming weekend, as the Raiders play host to the Mount Marty Lancers this weekend on Korver Field at De Valois Stadium with kickoff slated for 1:30 p.m.
