No. 4 Northwestern Heads to North Dakota on Saturday

Kickoff slated for 1:00 p.m. at Jamestown

ORANGE CITY, Iowa – Hitting the road for the second time this season, the No. 4-ranked Northwestern College football team (1-1, 1-1 GPAC) will head to North Dakota to face Jamestown this weekend. The Red Raiders look to make it seven-straight wins against the Jimmies.
 
The game will be streamed on Jamestown's website, and live stats can be found at nwcraiders.com. Doug Broek will also call the action on KSOU Radio (93.9 FM), live from Rollie Greeno Field at Charlotte and Gordon Hansen Stadium.

  • Released on Monday (Sept. 12), the Raiders check in at No. 4 in the NAIA Top-25, marking the 15th-straight poll inside the top-5.
  • NWC is 312-29-5 (.902) in program history when the Raiders hold opponents to 17 or less points.
  • For the second-straight week, the Raider defense forced two turnovers; bringing their record to 32-4 when they force two takeaways.
  • The Red Raider defense sits tied-for-tenth in the NAIA in rush defense, allowing just 59.5 rushing yards per game through the first two weeks.
 
RECAPPING DAKOTA WESLEYAN
  • The Raider offense erupted for eight touchdowns – five rushing, three passing – in the 54-7 home-opener victory last week.
  • Blake Fryar was 13-for-17 with 289 yards (3 TDs), with a long of 82 yards.
  • Kole Telford was ELECTRIC: two receptions – both resulting in touchdowns – for 89 yards.
  • Of the wide receiver group, Blake Anderson brought in a team-high four receptions for 75 yards and a touchdown.
  • The defense forced two turnovers – a interception and fumble recovery.
  • Led by Noah Van't Hof with a team-high six tackles, forcing a fumble in the win.
  • The Red Raider defense held the Tigers to under 200 yards of total offense (196), with just 30 rushing yards.
 
LAST MEETING
  • The two teams met in Jamestown a season ago on Oct. 16, 2021 as the Red Raiders dominated from start to finish, winning 63-7.
  • The Raiders set a new program record for total offense in a game (774 yards).
  • Blake Fryar threw for 251 yards and four touchdowns in the win.
  • Logan Meyer led the charge on the ground, notching 86 rushing yards on 14 carries.
  • Cade Moser recorded his 13th-career 100-yard receiving game, at the time, with 153 receiving yards on seven receptions, two being touchdowns.
