Raiders Wrestle Against Conference Opponents at DWU Open

MITCHELL, S.D.  – (RV) Northwestern traveled to Dakota Wesleyan for a potential conference preview for the DWU Open, held in Mitchell on Saturday. The event saw six Raiders come away with multiple wins ahead of the first conference dual.

Noah Parmelee (Fr., Sioux City, Iowa) finished with a 4-2 record on the day, picking up a win by fall over Blaisen Bammes (Unattached) in the first round, a 7-3 decision vs. Beau Daily (MSU-Moorhead), a pin against Sam Tisher (Wayne State), and a 10-4 decision over Clayton Harris (Wayne State).

Pepe Sanchez (So., San Diego, Calif.) closed out the day with three wins, with two by fall and one by forfeit, including a win over Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) opponent Joseph Gray (Morningside).

Other Raiders to finish with multiple wins on Saturday include Sean Heeney (Jr., Sioux City, Iowa), Cade Braun (Fr., Corona, Calif.), Kaleb Lind (So., Lindenhurst, Ill.), and Lincoln Siebert (So., Lincoln, Neb.).

Up Next: The Raiders will host their first home dual of the year on Wednesday, November 16 as Dakota Wesleyan comes to Orange City. Wrestling is set to begin at 7:00 p.m. inside the Bultman Center.
