Northwestern totaled a season-high 19 hits in earning a 12-4, six-inning win in game one of a conference doubleheader against Hastings played today in Orange City, Iowa. The Raiders earned the sweep with a 5-3 win in game two.
Northwestern has won three straight games and improve to 10-4 in the conference, 23-9 overall.
Game One: 12-4 win (6 innings)
- Northwestern opened up a 9-0 lead after three innings, scoring one in the first and four in each of the second and third innings
- Sydney Johnson hit a three-run home run in the Raiders four-run third inning, her second of the season
- Johnson added an RBI double in the fourth
- a sacrifice fly from Bosch, scoring Johnson from second after a leadoff double, ended the game in the sixth

- Johnson went a career-best 4/4 from the plate, driving in four, also a career best
- Bosch, Strasser and Jordyn Kramer all went 3-for-4 against the Broncos pitchers

- Kameryn Etherington (15-3) earned the victory, giviing up eight hits and four runs in six innngs
Game Two: 5-3 win
- Northwestern produced all its offense in the first two innings, pushing two runs across in the first and three in the second
- Strasser hit a sacrifice fly, scoring Bosch; Jessica Mouw came across on an Ericka McKenney groundout
- back-to-back doubles from Johnson and Kramer made the score 3-0 in the second
- Kramer scored after a Hastings error on a bunt put down by Madysn Grotewold
- Bosch drove in the final run with a sacrifice fly, scoring Grotewold
- Hastings scored a run in each of the third, fifth and seventh innings and had the tying run at second in the seventh until Etherington struck out Bailey Collingham to end the game

- Sydnee Isom (1-0) picked up her first win of the season, giving up five hits and two runs in five innings
- Etherington pitched the final two innings for the save
