Moya Escobar has netted four goals in his most recent season. He played for The Mayflower School and Sport Academy. His most recent season saw a second-place finish in the Interestadios League (2020). In the 2019-21 seasons Moya Escobar played in 17 games and netted eight goals and tallied four assists. He was honored with the Best Male Athlete of The Mayflower School award in 2018.

"We have developed a solid pipeline in Chile and we are pleased that Juan has kept that connection alive," said Head Coach Dan Swier. "He has played in a very successful club and has competed in some important matches in his career. We look forward to his future contributions."

Moya Escobar plans to study Business Administration at Northwestern. He finished a perfect 12th grade year in 2020. He is the son of Maria Jose Moya.

"I chose Northwestern because of the amazing possibilities to develop myself in different areas, such as the athletic, academic and my spiritual development," stated Moya Escobar.
