Raiders Stay in Top Five in Final Regular Season NAIA Coaches' Poll

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Northwestern College football team (9-1, 8-1 GPAC) remains inside the top-5 of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) after falling to Morningside in a top-5 matchup this past weekend, the national office announced this afternoon.
 
The Raiders tallied 391 points in the final regular season poll, 15 points behind newly No. 3-ranked Grand View (Iowa) Vikings. Lindsey Wilson College (Ky.) (9-0, 6-0 MSC) remains No. 1 with 444 team points and 18 first-place votes.
 
Morningside climbs up to the No. 2 slot to top the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), while the Dordt Defenders reenter the top-25 at No. 25 tied with Langston (Okla.) with 26 points.

GPAC in the polls:
No. 2 Morningside Mustangs (9-0, 9-0 GPAC)
No. 4 Northwestern Red Raiders (9-1, 8-1 GPAC)
T-No. 25 Dordt Defenders (6-3, 6-3 GPAC)

Northwestern wraps up the regular season this Saturday, November 13 when they hit the road for Sioux City, Iowa to battle the Chargers of Briar Cliff University (3-7, 3-6 GPAC).
