Stanford To Play Baseball At Northwestern

Sam Stanford (Los Angeles, Calif.) commits to Red Raider baseball program

Sam Stanford (Los Angeles, Calif.) has signed a letter of intent to continue his baseball career at Northwestern College beginning this fall.
 
Stanford recently completed a standout, four-year career playing for the Pacifica Christian High School baseball team. Stanford was named the team's most valuable player after hitting .406 with seven doubles and one home run his junior season. He posted a 4-2 record with a 3.17 ERA in 39.2 inning pitched on the mound. Stanford earned all-league honors two years and plans to major in Business / Statistics at Northwestern. He is the son of Aaron and Cissy.
 
"Sam is a high-level player who can fill a number of different roles for us," said Northwestern Head Coach Brian Wede. "He is a tremendous athlete who has had a lot of success on the diamond. We are excited to get him on campus to see where he fits best and where he can be the most successful."
