Three More to Play Men's Soccer at Northwestern

The Red Raider men's soccer program adds three more to their 2020 class with the signings of Tim Kaltenberger, Adam De Boer, and Marco Alessio. Their 2020 class now has 21 signings as they look to replace six graduating seniors.

Tim Kaltenberger  |  Midfielder |  Max Ernst Gymnasium
Native of Bruehl, Germany
Tim comes to Northwestern after completing his club career with Badorf-Pingsdorf under head coach Peter Wenzel.  Tim is a dynamic attacking midfielder, scoring 12 goals and assisting 9 others through 17 games this season.  He also has experience playing as a striker and a central defensive midfielder.  Tim's most successful cup experience was reaching the quarterfinals of the regional cup in 2019.  He will enter Northwestern as a computer science major.  When asked why he chose Northwestern, Tim said, "Northwestern stood out among the other universities I was considering because it fits my beliefs and life priorities really well."  Swier on Kaltenberger: "Tim adds strength and depth to a position at which we have under-produced the last couple of seasons.  We need to be more creative in the attacking half of the field and the coaching staff believes Tim can help us in this area."
