Game Time..The Northwestern College softball team will play a non-conference doubleheader against (RV) Bellevue this weekend. A late edition to the schedule, the doubleheader will be played on Saturday, Feb. 22 at Roy Smith Field in Omaha, Neb. Game one is set to start at 1pm, followed by game two at 3pm.

All-Time...Northwestern is 4-15 all-time against the Bruins, dating back to the 2006 season. The Red Raiders have lost three straight and are 2-8 in their last 10 match-ups against Bellevue.

    (RV) Bellevue Bruins: 2-0                Head Coach: Michala Cimino (11th year)

Picked second in the North Star Athletic Association preseason coaches' poll, Bellevue is off to a 2-0 start to the 2020 season. They swept York (Neb.) last weekend, 2-0 and 9-8. The Bruins received votes in the initial NAIA poll. 

Now in her 11th season as the Bruins head coach, Cimino returns six starters, 10 letter winners from a 2019 team that finished second to Valley City State in the NSAA at 23-5, 44-20 overall. They qualified for the NAIA National Championship for the seventh time during Cimino's tenure, going 0-2 on the national stage. Cimino earned NSAA Coach of the Year honors and has guided Bruins teams to the national tournament seven times.
