Patrick Gottburg (
Sioux City, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent to continue his football career at Northwestern College next fall.
Gottburg is a 6'0", 240-pound offensive lineman who played two years for East High School. A two-time all-district selection, including first team accolades last fall, Gottburg helped pave the way for an offense that scored 33 touchdowns, averaged over six yards per play and totaled 2,882 yards. He was part of a team that finished with a 6-3 record and reached the state playoffs. Gottburg was a Shrine Bowl All-Star and was voted team captain as a senior. An honor roll student, Gottburg plans to major in Accounting at Northwestern. He is the son of Terry and Lisa.
"Patrick will bring an intense, physical play to our o-line group," said Northwestern Head Coach
Matt McCarty. "He possesses good size and strength and just finished an outstanding high school career, capped with being selected to play in the Shrine Bowl. We are excited to have Patrick become a Red Raider and look forward to watching him play for us over the next four years."
