The Northwestern College women's soccer team beat Doane 1-0 in a conference match played today at the NWC Soccer Complex. The Raiders are now 3-5 in conference play, 3-5-1 overall; Doane falls to 0-7-3 in the GPAC, 0-9-3 overall.
The box to box battle saw most of the attack be in favor of the Red Raiders but the first 45 minutes saw both teams with chances. No team could get the final touch on the chances created though. The Red Raider goal came in the 88th minute with a simple passage of play.

Emily Hurley through. Hurley took a touch around the Doane center back and chipped the keeper coming out off her line. It was Hurley's 4th goal of the season. The Raiders held strong for the final two minutes and took time off the clock by finding players into the corners of the field.
Kaelin Alons made three saves for the Raiders in net.
Abby Noonan lead the Raiders with six shots, five on goal, while Hurley had three shots with all of them on frame.
The Raiders take on Morningside next on Wednesday. Kickoff is slated for 5:30pm at Morningside College.
