Men's Soccer At Unbeaten Hastings

Northwestern has a 4-2 record this season

Game Time...The Northwestern College men's soccer team will try to take down unbeaten and 2019 national runner-up Hastings in a conference match-up this weekend. Game time on Saturday, Oct. 24 in Hastings, Neb. is set for 8pm. Winners of their last two matches, Northwestern is an even 2-2 in the GPAC, 4-2 overall; the Broncos are a perfect 6-0 coming into Saturday's contest.

All-Time...Since 1996 when the rivalry began, the Raiders are 6-29-1 all-time against the Broncos. Northwestern is just 1-9 in its last 10 matches and last defeated Hastings in 2012 (1-0 OT).

The unbeaten Broncos have outscored their opponents 26-4 in six games this season, all played against teams from the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Most recently, Hastings has a 6-0 win against Doane and a 3-1 victory over Concordia. Their closest game was a 2-1 road win against Dakota Wesleyan in the first match of the season.

Bohenkamp returns seven starters, 10 players from a 2019 team that lost 3-1 in the national championship game to Central Methodist and finished with a 20-3-3 record. Within the GPAC, the Broncos finished tied with Briar Cliff for third place at 9-2.
