The Red Raiders added two 2020-21 commits this week.
Breckin Sperling (Lincoln, Neb.) and
John Seth (Arlington, Wash.) plan to join the wrestling team and both add great resumes to the program.
John Seth is a 5"8' light weight wrestler who has been competing at the 120 pound weight class in Washington but will likely be a 133 pounder for the Red Raiders. He is 96-16 in his career at Burlington-Edison High School and has been a second team all-conference wrestler for 3 years. He also placed 7th at state as a junior and has been voted Team MVP two times while also earning the Coach's Award as a junior.Â
"John is exactly the kind of young man that we feel will get us to the next level," commented head coach
Rik Dahl. "John is a dangerous competitor who has an intimate feel for positions. We believe he is a young man who will become a leader for our program over the next four years."
Seth plans to study Education while at NWC.
Breckin Sperling is a 5'8'' middle weight wrestler who has been competing at the 145 pound weight class while at Lincoln East High School. He will likely compete at the 145 pound weight class while at NWC. He is 95-52 in his high school career and has 73 career pins. He is a 3-time state qualifier and placed 5th at state his junior year. He was also a 2019 All-City Team member. He is currently undecided on his major.Â
"Breckin was a huge target for us. We believe strongly that he can come n and be an immediate difference maker. He is dangerous in every position and has a desire to be the best he can be. We love working with young men who know what they want and have the daily habits and drive to get there."
